Giving Some Love Back To Your Pre-loved Furniture

There comes a time when your furniture may be looking a little worse for wear but that needn’t be the end of the story for your pre-loved pieces. This particular piece came in a set of five, from a server to side tables and a huge oversized coffee table. The intricate detail in the design was a not something we would find very easily again so we decided to upcycle all the pieces. Each piece was lovingly repainted in a coastal style to go with the theme of the home and finished off with new hardware to give them a more updated look.

Coastal Chic @ Your Front Door

Your entrance is the first thing guests see when visiting your home so why not make it a statement piece to welcome them. From rattan rugs, to ceramic flower pots, giant ferns in old wine barrels, water features and ambiant lighting - the options are endless and they needn’t cost the earth to get the look that suits your home.

This coastal home had a very simple yet spacious entrance, so we decided to bring in rattan pot plant baskets to keep with the theme. The entrance is mostly in the shade during the day so real ferns were the preffered choice for the smaller plants along with some large faux palms at the back. Both were filled with beach sand to stablise them in the prevailing winds that come during the winter months and finished off with faux moss and pebbles.
